"Crap" or "spam" - I can't figure out which is a better term for this "pledge". The author may not agree with PETA's tactics but every movement needs to have groups that use different methods to get the message across. Let's focus on stopping animal suffering and stop bashing individual groups.

So you agree with the "mercy" killings they undertake? There is no honor or intelligence in what these people are doing...they need to be stopped!

Animals are killed by the minute in slaughterhouses, in research facilities, in abuse homes, in shelters due to overcrowding. We may not agree with everything that PETA (or whatever organization is the target of the next petition) does but the war against animal abuse will need all sides coming together to focus on the end result of stopping animal abuse. We may not agree with everything that PETA (or whatever organization is the target of the next petition) does but the war against animal abuse will need all sides coming together to focus on the end result of stopping animal abuse. Further, I have worked in no kill shelters where animals are kept alive and in great pain. My own pets have been in horrible pain and I choose to have them euthanized. In these situations, my belief is that euthanasia is far better than suffering.

The video disgusts me. It is all lies to discredit PETA. Who should we believe someone who cowardly hides behind a mask or an organization with a proven track record of helping animals?

Would you even believe them if they weren't wearing a mask? I highly doubt it, many of us have been speaking up against peta for all that they have done, and no one seems to believe or understand, even when proof has been shown. There are people out there who had dealings with PETA on a personal level, yet were silenced with threats. Keep looking around you will see the truth eventually.

Do me a favor George Coniglio....look into this group yourself and see what they are doing...if you don't believe this just because of the mask...ask yourself just what about that bothers you...?

When there is actual proof maybe I will believe this.

PETA is on the front lines in the battle against animal homelessness. Our field workers are on duty around the clock, and our emergency pager is always on. During hurricanes, snowstorms, heat waves, and cold snaps, we are out helping cats stuck in treetops and drainage ditches, ducklings stranded in sewer pipes, and dogs left to die at the end of a chain—any animal who needs help, anytime and anywhere. Some of the animals we take in are lost companion animals—we eventually reunite them with grateful guardians, while many others are taken to local agencies, where they will have a chance to be adopted. PETA helps guardians keep their animal companions by offering coun

Hey I join up with PETA on circus demos, but it is true that they euthanize 97% of rescues. See the interviews on youtube. Don't call me ignorant dick head! I am 35 years vegan and am very well informed regarding PETA policies. She freely admits that they make no attempt to rehome, and all animals brought to them get euthanized. Why don't they support the NO KILL MOVEMENT. You are the ignorant ones. FACE THE TRUTH. She said chained dogs cant be rehabbed and admits to euthanizing healthy animals. NO HEALTHY ANIMAL SHOULD EVER BE EUTHANIZED.

IF AN ANIMAL IS IN PAIN AND CANT BE SAVED THEN OF COURSE EUTHANIZE. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT AN ORG THAT KILLS HEALTHY ANIMALS. DUH!! IGNORANT YOURSELF.

If you have something to say dont hide behind a mask of anonymity. I dont agree with everything that PETA does, but I also know that they have been the motivators behind getting a lot of awareness of animal welfare issues and have saved countless animals from being tortured. I dont agree with everything that PETA does, but I also know that they have been the motivators behind getting a lot of awareness of animal welfare issues and have saved countless animals from being tortured. No, PETA does not participate in providing animal shelters but that is not the only function that can help animals. Look around you. Shelters are the end-game. There are too many domestic animals thanks to a lack of breeding regulations and spay/neuter programs. There are 'scientific research' organizations that make their living off torturing animals. Factory farms apparently seek out the mentally deranged and sadistic to hire to work with their animals. There are also so many animals that they are starved, dumped, neglected, abused and abandoned. Do you have a good answer to this problem? Not every animal rights group is going to be a homing provider for animals.

I also will not invite friends here. There are too many anti animal rights people who have tried for years to discredit PETA. As I previously stated, PETA have had to care or euthanize horrible disfigured animals - I have seen the pictures - these are the ones that no vet or shelter will touch. I cannot recommend this cause to anyone!

"asking him or her to make spaying and neutering mandatory statewide. Mandatory spay-and-neuter laws save lives and also make good fiscal sense: Taxpayers pay approximately $2 billion to house, euthanize, and dispose of unwanted dogs, cats, and other animals in the U.S. each year.
