Marked my calender - Sept 2, 2013. Mahalo for the invite. I love & care for the islands of Hawai'i. There are those who have lived on both the U.S. continent & the islands. I happen to be one of them. I currently reside in the continental U.S. I grieve the loss of a government power by way of our Hawaiian Monarchy. Many today plan to command justice by way of petitions, citations, town hall meetings/conventions/conferences, & a march for Hawai'i's restoration for political power, aina, & independence. The children reserve/deserve to know that their living parents, guardians, g & gg parents utilized intelligence to rise above political challenge & gain justice on behalf of Hawai'i: the lands, properties, & the residents. There will be concerns regarding lands & business properties. The residents reserve/deserve to take a stand & express their concern toward the injustice that took place in the year - 1893. Many opportunities were open to the Hawaiian prior to 1893 which led to the overthrow of Hawai'i Monarchy. I sustain the desire to march. I wish all of Hawai'i for Hawai'i. I pray for a compromise. Many years of investment took place upon the islands of Hawai'i. Investors are already fumed. Mahalo for the invitation. I'll support, sustain, & promote the Kanaka Maoli march come Sept. 2, 2013 for Hawai'i. Kahala Lei Azuma Maui? Do you have a place where the kanaka maoli plan to convene? Mahalo...

Aloha MaryAnn... I don't know how many times I've looked at this and this is the first time I saw your comment.. E kala mai.. There will be smaller marches on each island for those not travelling to the Big Island and we are currently working on fundraisers to charter planes, to help people make it. We also believe that we have to get our voices off the original 8 and include those stuck all over the 9th island, so there will be a convenience Kanaka Maoli March in downtown L.A. at 200...

Aloha MaryAnn... I don't know how many times I've looked at this and this is the first time I saw your comment.. E kala mai.. There will be smaller marches on each island for those not travelling to the Big Island and we are currently working on fundraisers to charter planes, to help people make it. We also believe that we have to get our voices off the original 8 and include those stuck all over the 9th island, so there will be a convenience Kanaka Maoli March in downtown L.A. at 200 Spring St and the march in DC is a little different: that is the Indigenous People's March on America and is by far, the largest. The march will be dedicated to Kanaka Maoli and extended to Native Americans, and other indigenous with similar issues. We already have over 10,000 marching in DC. Here is a good page to keep up on all that you have touched base with in your comment, and before I put the link, let me wish your o'hana a Mele Kalikimaka...Aloha Ke Akua. What is freedom to you? Is freedom being pushed off of your Native lands for tourist attractions? Is freedom when your culture is exploited and these are the only jobs really available to your people? Hmm... I just can't call that freedom.

Because the U.S. took over the Hawaiian Islands by force , not caring about the People...Held the Queen captive until she signed...what a bunch of Crooks!

My husband Cosmo was a great inspiration, that was his main cause...He understood what our Brothers and Sisters were going through..he had his Sovereign Kingdom of Hawaii licence plates on his car was jailed for it....along with speaking as Appointed spokesperson for those who needed defending...you can find his causes on Hawaiian .t.v. God will prevail brothers and sisters...much love to you all<3

It is sad that our fathers and and Grand Fathers witnessed the theft of our Hawaii. The United States stole our Island and tried to take away our heritage. I can not judge those who spear headed this injustice but God can and let Him Judge.

We the people of Hawai'i should stand as one and not let foreignors over come us just because of the beauty & history that our ancestors has built & left for their children to have & protect..do'nt let our AINA get into their hands. That's all we have left..The spirit of "ALOHA" will always be with'in ea. & everyone...that can never be taken away..we're the only civilized culture that welcomes outsiders w/open arms & step foot on our AINA..

Kaiulani Cindy Anderson Kanoa

this is something that we don't want to lose any more than we have already have. this will help benefit our childrens as well as our grandchildrens through generations. and my beloved ancestors are no longer here to speak up and help us out into saving our language and land. we who stand on hawaiian land now should speak up and be as one ohana and fight for our language as well as our land for the future of our next generations. mahalo' hope something could be done ASAP: ALOHA'.

Why is this cause important to me? Because Imperialism is wrong. Taking over someone else's country is immoral. -What small tiny bit of Abenaki I have tinkling in my gene structure ---I pray to gods and goddesses- forgives my white Northern European ass. We must cherish each other.
