Hopefully there is something the Canadian Government can do, but sometimes it's just not possible. Hopefully this is not one of those cases, but if it is, lets make sure this story gets out and tourism in the Dominican Republic gets the kick in the ass it deserves. Human rights people, HUMAN RIGHTS!!!
Yikes, we are heading there this Saturday for our son's wedding at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana!
What a nightmare.
I can't believe this is happening...Where is our Canadian Consultant that supposed to be over there...Agree with James....Our airlines should also stop flights from going there until some kind of an agreement to protect the tourists is in place...That's it for me and my family...Dominican will not be a destination of choice for us...thoughts are with this family...may they be released soon and brought home safely...
Do we have all the facts?
how do I read more of this? why are they in jail there?? what part of the Dominican? thanks....god bless them and bring them home safe!!
Anne Vernon (Stacey's mother) is asking for lots of good thoughts and prayers as they may have a resolution on Monday. God bless and keep them safe until then.
remember this when you are voting in the next election, our goverment should have done something by now .
Canadians and other people from civilized countries are not welcome in Dominican Republic.
Something has to be done. The fact that our government has washed it's hands of this issue is disgusting. The Dominican should be put on the travelers advisory list in order to worn any other travelers of the dangers they may face if they visit the country. This is not an issue that should be swept under the rug.
