What an amazing show of support from Canadians, Americans, and our friends in the U.K. and Europe! Wow! Keep those signatures coming! Thank you everyone!

Hopefully there is something the Canadian Government can do, but sometimes it's just not possible. Hopefully this is not one of those cases, but if it is, lets make sure this story gets out and tourism in the Dominican Republic gets the kick in the ass it deserves. Human rights people, HUMAN RIGHTS!!!

I can't believe this is happening...Where is our Canadian Consultant that supposed to be over there...Agree with James....Our airlines should also stop flights from going there until some kind of an agreement to protect the tourists is in place...That's it for me and my family...Dominican will not be a destination of choice for us...thoughts are with this family...may they be released soon and brought home safely...

Break the law in a foreign country, pay the price dictated by that country. Why should the government step in to help?

There were no laws broken, they were not the assailant, that's the point, they were just there at the resort at the wrong place at the wrong time.

fair is fair if you break their laws but it sounds like this is NOT the case and that is just not right
