I come from Australia so I am not familiar with the reasons/excuses these evil people use for maiming, torturing, and killing wildlife. I'm guessing it's ignorance and lack of empathy as to why they think it is fine to do this, but it really just makes the USA look like a bunch of rednecks to the world. Obviously I know that isn't the case of course, hopefully they are the minority. What's with killing wolves in particular? You guys are so lucky to have such beautiful animals in your...

Obviously I know that isn't the case of course, hopefully they are the minority. What's with killing wolves in particular? You guys are so lucky to have such beautiful animals in your country, and they are often used as a symbol of the USA and seen in many artforms, music, and mediums as if they hold significance in the country. This is why I was confused and shocked that these people are allowed to commit such cruel, backward, and inhumane acts. Aren't wolves protected? We have a similar problem with some rednecks shooting our kangaroos near farms, and they use the excuse that the roos eat their grazing paddocks/pastures whatever they're called-its b.s of course.

whoops, went over the word limit above. Anyway, the idiots that kill kangaroos are trained to shoot them in such a spot to make death instantaneous-not that this makes any better to kill them, but at least they are not maimed and lying tortured in agony for hours like the animals caught in antiquated traps. Luckily they are also in healthy numbers and not close to being endangered either, which I believe wolves are. I'm appealing to the USA government's vanity now in posting this-do you...

I'm appealing to the USA government's vanity now in posting this-do you really want the rest of the world to see you as people who act like this? You appear to have your flag brandished everywhere, even on cleaners uniforms, so you are a proud nation. Don't let this be your downfall. Outlaw and police it now and bring your country into the 21st century. Would you do this to your child or pet dog? Why do it to native, endangered animals?

I don't understand why people have such problems with the predators. They play a very important part in the natural scheme of things and need to be left alone. I must say I'm really impressed with the macho guys who trap and torture animals or sic the dogs on them. What goes around comes around!

This type of trapping and abuse should have ended years ago, better yet, should never have been! Humans causing pain and suffering to wildlife for money should be a crime, and those who indulge in it should be in jail, or better trapped in their own traps for awhile. I would gladly set the trap and see how they like it!

If you don't "totally" oppose trapping, then what kind of opposition do you have? Just curious.

How can you love wolves and still not be opposed to trapping?

don't come back here...it is that simple, if you don't care if an animial of any kind is tortured you are right you don't need this board. You have to firmly believe its wrong.

trapping is a very cruel inhumane thing to do and is totally not needed... trap a few " hunters " and see how they might feel.

How some people treat animals, and the intentional cruelty, pain and suffering which they make animals endure makes me dispair of the human race

I feel a strong kinship with wolves and love their spirit...do you know they mate for life? But trapping any creature and then attacking or hunting it or siccing dogs on it is just evil. Like shooting wolves from a helicopter ...evil.

This is classic psychotic behavior. Killing for the pleasure of experiencing the pain and suffering of your prey is a BIG warning sign that these guys are fully capable of doing the same to humans. It is a firmly defined first step in a life of sociopathic behavior. These.....men ( I use the term loosely)....are a simply a waste of skin and their substantially meaty innards would provide a bountiful feast for many forest creatures.Having said that - Perhaps some day a sociopathic forest...
