I come from Australia so I am not familiar with the reasons/excuses these evil people use for maiming, torturing, and killing wildlife. I'm guessing it's ignorance and lack of empathy as to why they think it is fine to do this, but it really just makes the USA look like a bunch of rednecks to the world. Obviously I know that isn't the case of course, hopefully they are the minority. What's with killing wolves in particular? You guys are so lucky to have such beautiful animals in your...

Obviously I know that isn't the case of course, hopefully they are the minority. What's with killing wolves in particular? You guys are so lucky to have such beautiful animals in your country, and they are often used as a symbol of the USA and seen in many artforms, music, and mediums as if they hold significance in the country. This is why I was confused and shocked that these people are allowed to commit such cruel, backward, and inhumane acts. Aren't wolves protected? We have a similar problem with some rednecks shooting our kangaroos near farms, and they use the excuse that the roos eat their grazing paddocks/pastures whatever they're called-its b.s of course.

whoops, went over the word limit above. Anyway, the idiots that kill kangaroos are trained to shoot them in such a spot to make death instantaneous-not that this makes any better to kill them, but at least they are not maimed and lying tortured in agony for hours like the animals caught in antiquated traps. Luckily they are also in healthy numbers and not close to being endangered either, which I believe wolves are. I'm appealing to the USA government's vanity now in posting this-do you...

I'm appealing to the USA government's vanity now in posting this-do you really want the rest of the world to see you as people who act like this? You appear to have your flag brandished everywhere, even on cleaners uniforms, so you are a proud nation. Don't let this be your downfall. Outlaw and police it now and bring your country into the 21st century. Would you do this to your child or pet dog? Why do it to native, endangered animals?

It is horrifying to think of these magnificent creatures being treated in this cruel manner. I too have a beautiful white German Shepherd and when I look at her I see the beautiful wolf that she has descended from. Killing any animal is a sin and using those barbaric leg hold traps should be banned immediately. I hate the idea of any human going out with a weapon and killing a poor defenseless and innocent animal. What is so macho about that?

je suis horrifiée par la cruauté envers ces magnifiques animaux que sont les loups, et qui sont de plus indispensables à la préservation de la biodiversité; j'ai honte de faire partie de l'espèce humaine, la plus cruelle qui soit.

trapping, poisoning, hunting, etc... are not brave manly sports, they are cowardly acts harming creatures that have as much right to live if not more than humans do, no animal murders for fun or sport, only man has the urge to destroy and kill for fun and fashion.m perhaps if we stop murdering our beautiful wildlife we might stop murdering and torturing other humans, when will people realize all life is precious and sacred not just human life.
