I am confused. I read the info. you sent. Went to add my signature as I want to support and am asked to sign into my Facebook account rather than simply sign and support. I annoyed do it anyway. I then am asked to allow Causes to add my Birthday. I wanted to pass that step to SIGN YOUR PETITION to support as this was the point and am unable to do this unless I allow you to add my birthday?? I have now taken more of my time to deal with the Facebook thing and write this note rather than the whole original intention.

I have been a supporter of causes for some while so I do not suffer similar problems. However, some of causes' petitions are a little tricky; for example the one on Ecocide. If you are still experiencing problems try emailing Anne Dias, [email protected]; I have found her helpful in the past.

I tried to sign the second petition but kept being asked to 'submit a number' - What number? I didn't want to state my birthdate.

Elizabeth and Claire-Cecile, I'm sorry about the problem you've had signing in. I think Causes has made changes to their set up. But I will bring this to their notice. Could you please try to sign into your own facebook account and then click on sign? For those who are doing that it seems to be working.

yes that worked for me, but still I had to allow the site to use my birth-date info..

All I had to do was touch the "Sign the petition" bar in the email and that was it. Nothing about Facebook or my birthdate. Maybe try again with the email...?

Thank you for your kind reply and concern. I tried again 3x and same Facebook / causes requesting my b- day. Other things I have signed in the past I just click on sign the petition and that's it with a follow up thank you e - mail. Not sure why this is happening with this Cause.

To Nick Godwin - I was once asked to submit a number. I put in a random number and it worked! Don't ask!

Pamela Olson, to your point, unfortunately women have been seen for a very long time in in most societies (even America) as property. Thus being the case we used as men see fit; held high as wives, the mother of their children or not; as masturbating objects to release their sexual tension or fulfill their sexual fantasy in total disregard of women and female children as human beings. This is unacceptable and yet we see it repeated everywhere throughout the world. Families will sell their young (underage as well) daughters or pawn them off for sexual favors. Worse fathers , brothers had molested and abuse their female family members while mothers have stood by equally guilty and ignored or let it happen. My point is that we are all guilty. Women and children are the least protected in a male dominated society. I dare say that although an apology is in order, so much more is due. How will they show remorse? Will they provide provision for their future emotional/psychological well being?
