I am shocked to hear about this 8 month old puppy. I can't believe he may be euthanized for wandering into his neighbors yard. I have been around a lot of 8 month old puppies in my years as a shelter volunteer. I have never seen a mean one. They are only interested in playing. Don't kill this poor puppy.

As for the breed restrictions, puppies are the victims. To truly address the issue, the breeders should be sought out and punished. If there are no breeders, eventually there will be fewer dogs. I live in the United States and would love to see restrictions on breeders in my country. It makes sense to limit puppy production at the source: the breeder. Killing innocent puppies is just mean! If you have children, what would they think when they eventually hear about Kerser the puppy being killed for going in his neighbor's yard.

Happy to sign, however there needs to be a few changes. To be taken seriously. First of all you need to change "Mom" to "Mum". Remember you are dealing with Australians here. Secondly you made an error in this Paragraph:

Jade and Kerser's supporters will be glad to pay his boarding fees and save the city the further expense of euthanizing Jade. Many of us have fur members of our own families and know the bond formed and the emotional torment Jade is going through.

By saying Jade will be euthanized. All the best.

I'm confused as to why the neighbours would call the council before notifying the owner first anyhow! Spiteful pigs!!!

maybe they didn't know it was their neighbours dog? seeing as the mum just moved into the house. and if the dog didn't have a collar or name tag with contact details, that's sometimes just what people do

What happened to the laws against animal cruelties, this dog is being put to sleep for no other reason then his considered a dangerous breed. this poor dog was only found wondering around not hurting anybody if it had of been any other breed the owner would of been slapped with just a fine, Australia is meant to be known for there strong beliefs in the animal ethic's rights and animal cruelty, well here is a dog who is confined to a cage he may have food and water everyday but and look...

The Justice for the innocent in this country just doesn`t exist. People can murder, rape, abuse children, attack the elderly and only get what I concider a light jail term and amazing jail conditions while they are in there, such as free dental, computers, gyms and better food than most pensioners and yet a poor innocent animal who has done no harm or wrong to anyone can be treated in this way. Shame on the nieghbour for being so mean and the stupid laws that landed this poor dog in this...

Shame on the nieghbour for being so mean and the stupid laws that landed this poor dog in this situation in the first place. In most case`s when there is a viciuos animal there is a bad owner. I am know off other breeds of dogs that have been vicious too such as poodles ect. I have met quite a few beautifull pitt bulls that I would trust a baby and met some poodles and other breeds that I wouldn`t. It is all in the individual dogs nature and bringing up. These laws have obviously been put in place by people who do not understand animals. Don`t punnish this poor dog and owner for a honest mistake. Grow up Australia, Sandy Green

I don't think people actually know what Rangers do. They are more law enforcers than animal lovers. I don't think the neighbour had any idea this would happen. Atleast, I hope not.

Helen, do you know the neighbour? I don't. I am concerned for the dogs safety with a secure environment to be in, so in the future this would NOT happen again. I don't doubt that the owner is upset, the dog would also be upset with being a pound cage!. But please be a careful pet owner, check where yr pets are going to live.

The neighbour that reported Kerser etc... is a BASTARD! They just destroyed their new neighbour's family, barley 3 days after moving in.
