What kind of dog is this? I find it strange that this article says nothing of the actual breed of Kerser. Seems like a legitimate portion in any petition about a mistaken breed to actually put what breed this dog is. I also find human stupidity

to be the cause of many problems. Go in, tell them what breed the.dog is and stop playing a victim. fuck. I am a dick, and I get shit done. This owner has no balls.

Paul you clearly have no understanding about bsl. It doesnt matter what breed I tell the council they make their own assessment using a measuring tape. Read the facts before you start accusing me of not fighting for my dog...

If it was a human male who'd raped the neighbour, he'd be out on bail pending trial. Because he's a dog, no enquiry, no trial, just execution. Human cruelty and stupidity at its worst.

Awesome idea, Sherri, but we don't want to add to Jade's troubles by landing her in jail. We must stick to the legal avenues unfortunately, but keep that thinking cap on!

This is unbelievable and inconceivable !! This young dog has been mistaken for a breed that is prohibited...and because he got into someone's backyard , without being threatening or biting anyone ...he is now scheduled for euthanasia Monday the 3rd of June. Come on folks let's save this innocent , beautiful pup . Xx

Weather Kerser is or is not a PB the legislation is still cruel and needs to be abolished. It should not ever be ok to kill an animal based on its breed. Breed Selective Legislation has no place in any self respecting community. This law is controlled and enforced by local council offices, it varies greatly Australia wide, it can and will extend to other breeds if BSL is permitted to stay :( it is important to keep in mind the need to Ban BSL, or there are certainly going to be more cases like Kerser.

This is such a sadly sick situation and I cannot believe that a country who is supposed to be "free" supports this action. Surely the animal should be judged on his temperament and not his looks. Shocked!

Doesn't it have to proven that he is A PB, insist on DNA being done!

If they're wrong why aren't they asked to prove the're right, what stupid country is this anyway. What did the dog do wrong anyhow to get killed. Outrages. No words, I'm always supporting fair trial, but does it exist at all in a country where the continue to schedule owned dogs to be killed without proper investigation. If he's not a pit, they're not acting according to their law. But things should change anyway.

I'm really sick of hearing these stories. Humans have a lot to answer for placing such little value on other living things. There are thousands of animals without homes and here is one little guy who has a loving family and some unintelligent numb nuts have decided to have him executed. Grow a conscience for goodness sake and give Kerser back to his family where he belongs.

This is racial profiling. I've been a victim & I totally understand what this beautiful species is going through. If my family member ever gets taking away from me because of who they are or how they look...ill be doing everything for them to fight for them icluding my life!

I have owned and fostered bull breeds throughout my life and they are the most kind, loving and gentle dogs I have known. I fostered a dog that looked just like Kerser, his name was Bentley and he still holds a very special place in my heart, he was amazing with children and had a soft spot for my 4 year old niece with autism. It was a beautiful thing to watch them play. Kerser should not be put to death for his breed or for simply 'looking like' a pit bull. It's madness.

Please stand up for Cleo too, another dog who has been seized in Victoria, Australia. Lets show our support for Cleo too and stand with her owner: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Help-save-Cleo/335962649865061

What despicable monsters have we, the human race, become. This is a ludicrous self made law and the sobs that put it in place can be taken on, they are not superhuman. Fight them with everything you have. Here in South Africa we do not have such barbaric laws - the people of our country would never stand for it.

It is just ludicrous that Jade and Kaiser are even have to deal with this crap at all. Hoping and praying for the only right decision, his life bring spared.

I agree Terri, I would so love to take these wicked monsters and break every bone in their body. I pray every day and night for these poor animals that have so cruelly been taken away from their owners because of their looks. I swear, hell would have to freeze over before I parted with 1 of my animals (and I have 9 rescues).

I am shocked to hear about this 8 month old puppy. I can't believe he may be euthanized for wandering into his neighbors yard. I have been around a lot of 8 month old puppies in my years as a shelter volunteer. I have never seen a mean one. They are only interested in playing. Don't kill this poor puppy.

As for the breed restrictions, puppies are the victims. To truly address the issue, the breeders should be sought out and punished. If there are no breeders, eventually there will be fewer dogs. I live in the United States and would love to see restrictions on breeders in my country. It makes sense to limit puppy production at the source: the breeder. Killing innocent puppies is just mean! If you have children, what would they think when they eventually hear about Kerser the puppy being killed for going in his neighbor's yard.
