I went GOLD today in support of children everywhere on this planet who suffer from cancer. I am so glad that the ones who do not yet have a voice to cry out for awareness in this disease get to be represented by so many who love them with all of their hearts!

I go gold for Jake who died 3/24/09 at the young age of 7. His dad went to school with my son. Jake was the same age as my grandson.

I go Gold today & every day because once upon a time I was "THAT KID" in the fight. I was dx'd at just 8 1/2 Months of age with Stage IV High Risk Neuroblastoma back on 01.22.68!

Today, over 44 1/2 YEARS later, I fight on for every child & every family because nobody, especially children, should have to fight so hard just to live!!

No child should EVER have to be WARRIOR STRONG!!

No parent should EVER have to BURY THEIR CHILD!!

I'm wearing my Gold, raising Awareness, getting my head...

I'm wearing my Gold, raising Awareness, getting my head shaved (3 Time Shavee '10/'11/'12 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave/St. Baldrick's) and doing whatever I can to help make it possible for all the children (mine, yours, OURS) to be happy, healthy, carefree, cancerFREE and HERE as part of the future!! Kids deserve the right to GROW UP and Childhood cancer is depriving far too many of that very right every single day!!

I'm going gold today because I want to see families stay together and help parents to have the opportunity to see their children grow up cancer free.

I go gold in loving memory of a dear friends son who passed away 4 years ago from ALL. Nick is an amazing little boy who loved life and had a serious love of ribs. Even when he was sick from treatments, when he was hungry, 99% of the time, he wanted ribs. Today, Nick is remembered by his mother, father, and two younger sisters, myself, and many others who helped care for him while he was in the hospital. I know he's up there in Heaven with a big plate of ribs and watching over all of us. I love you Nick, and miss you like crazy.

Going Gold to support our brave little warrior Samara! She fought and beat Wilms Tumor Pediatric Cancer and this picture above was taken last September when she had just finished treatment. Today Samara is a bold, healthy, vibrant little girl and we are incredibly grateful! Thank you Pavlove for all you do. Keep spreading the light, healing and love...

I wear Gold everyday for my 10 year old daughter Aurora. She was dx with a Wilms tumor 09/10 at the age of 8. She is my hero! I wear Gold in support of all the other cancer children out there who so desperately need a cure today, not tomorrow, TODAY! All our cancer kids deserve to grow up. All of us cancer parents deserve to hug our children goodnight each and every night. I wear Gold everyday for those parents who can't do that anymore. I wear Gold to shout out - Hey, don't forget that kids get cancer too.
