Aug 8, 2012 I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. Had the lumpectomy surgery on Sept. 11, 2012 and was told it was a stage 2. Had two lymph nodes removed but they were cancer free. I had to have 36 treatment of radiation. I praise God for getting me through everything. My sister came and stayed with me for a couple weeks while I had my surgery. I had to have 36 treatment of radiation. I praise God for getting me through everything. My sister came and stayed with me for a couple weeks while I had my surgery. The only thing I had trouble with was the forth week of radiation it really started hurting. My breast still hurts. I was told everything is ok but the other day I stretched while in bed and felt something pull in my breast. Now I am in some pain. I continued working two weeks after surgery. My boss was great and let me come in 15 minutes early everyday to cover my time I had to leave at lunch to have radiation. I just hope every woman gets their mammo done yearly. I had no lump. The only way they knew was by my mammogram and then a biopsy.

I am a Breast Cancer survivor as of March 2009, and have had many fears of it returning. It was easy to beat this horrible disease, but the mental battle is harder to beat. With every day, I fear that it will return, but am just now realizing that it's jusst a fear, not a reality. I'm scheduled for reconstruction this Spring, so I'm confident that the surgery will help me feel more confident in my every day living. My message to all victims and survivors is this; keep believing that you're...

Be brave, be strong, and don't let it take over your life and mind. I pray for all of you ladies out there.
