Hi to all, My husband died of Lung Cancer (not a smoking cancer) in 2000 after being mis-diagnosed as 'Rheumatoid Arthritus' 6 months previously. I nursed him for the 3 months that we knew. Less than 8 weeks after his death I was diagnosed with breast cancer (first mammagram). I came through the other side! Moral to the story - never give up hope and ALWAYS GO FOR MAMMAGRAMS and SMEAR TESTS. Probably saved my life. Thank you CLAN, Macmillan and Marie Curie and the wonderful staff at ARI It's my birthday today and I am going to LIVE it.

I was diagnosed in Feb 12 with breast cancer, had the mastectomy and I am cancer free. The love and support from CANSA and Face Book not to forget my family and friends makes it easy.

My mother became ill in February. She was gone by the end of March. We didn't have time to prepare ourselves. I'm still not sure she fully understood what was happening to her. I lost my best friend.

My wonderful father lost the pancreatic cancer over 20 years ago-only lasted 3 months after dx. My mother & I have been blessed to survive breast cancer since then. We need to fight this horrible disease with everything we have!!!!
