You are the ones who are SUPPOSED to be setting the example of animal safety, compassionate caring and nurturing. Do whatever it is in your budget or in your community's spirit of volunteerism and INSIST on doing the right thing for the innocents of this world. They did not choose to be in their situation. It is only by human MIS-handling and errors that these sweet
lovable companions are even in your facility. Give them the kindness, care, healthcare, attention, & compassion they deserve. Please form whatever group to help you facilitate their immediate attention. Young people, boy& Girl Scouts all sorts of teens can help out. Seniors love to help, too. Thank You
Barrow County Animal Shelter is one of the worst shelters I have ever dealt with, personally. I do hope that a difference can be made by bringing awareness to the ongoing miscommunication that seems to be preventing animals from having any chance of being saved at this shelter. You have my support.
This is just wrong.
This is beyond wrong. The commissioners need to get there and check the facility out in person and then immediately make changes. If they don't think there is a problem, then they do not need to be in the position they are in and need to be replaced with someone who has compassion and can have the the shelter the way it should be run, This is hell for these dogs.
Oh My God , little Lillian and her 2 kittens are there :'(
Horrible shelter - they would not let my daughter and I adopt a dog !! We ended adopting a dog from GA ASPCA in Suwannee ! Barrow County Animal Control were very mean to us and told us the dogs were not adoptable !!! So very sad
Why would they kill a dog if rescuers are coming. They are blood thirsty bandits.
i am hopeful that higher thinking will prevail and that the people that have the power to effect change in this shelter will do the right and humane/compassionate thing.
I would love to help take care of these beautiful animals. It is our responsibility to take care of them.
Let Gwinnett Animal Welfare be your guide.
They did their job right
Where is the story?
