We live in NW Arkansas, we got hit by the storms after they dropped the tornadoes but the winds here were clocking over 80mph..it should be city wide law for shelters in every small town and city we feel! Watching strong trees snap like toothpicks in just a micro burst wind is scary enough. Tornadoes are nothing to fool around about foremost in our schools!

I agree that schools needs shelters to protect our children! My prayers are with all the families that was affected by the tornados. With that being said I think it is up to us as parents to protect our own children not the government!!!!! Think about it if all parents our in a very small amount of money add it all up we could put in the shelters that are needed after all they are our children not the governments. When are we as parents going to step up and fix it and not wait on the...

AT HOME I have a basement, and storm shelter, maybe you have never been through a tornado warning? you dont understand how SUDDEN they just show up I have tornado shelter at home and at work, THE GOVERNMENT has tornado shelters at work, why in the world would we ask our...

I dont expect the government to take care of my kids I EXPECT MY KIDS TO BE SAFE WHEN UNDER THE CARE!

oh and basically what your saying is that, our government funding and the billions we already pay in taxes to pay their salaries is not enough to save a life? if they cut their own salaries by 2% every school in the US could have a tornado shelter i pay over 5000 dollar a year in to taxes get back maybe 2-3 thousand where does the rest go? welfare is big chunk of it!! so now that the government has raised our taxes, cut medicare, demands health care, raised the cost of prescription drugs,...

I BET YOU every government facility in OK has a storm shelter, and every vehicle they drive has a seat belt! BUT not school buses nor schools! however the limos and planes they take from place to place is safe! this is your opinion? let me know how far you get with that
