I am a Vet of that war era, and its sickening to see that even a memorial to those who died is under attack by secular progressives, GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER VETERANS PERIOD......
I am a Nam vet and get tired of all the crap.
Can' t believe I Am seeing this on Easter Sunday...you fricking Atheist deal with it...Christians are not going away...leave the vets alone...b/c of all the vets you are allowed to talk your crap.
Exactly right - freedom isn't free and we're the ones picking up the tab for groups having the ability to run around using that first amendment; they need to remember that we have that right, too. I think that we should be allowed to put up any monument we care to.
I'm an Vietnam vet that's why it's so important to me! and I got a lot of crap coming home and still do so I'm saying no to all of your shit now!!

You know, I see this monument and I don't see a cross - I see a snapshot of places like the cemetery at Arlington. There are graves of Christians, Jews, Atheists, and others - but when you look across the sea of crosses, Magen Davids, civilian style headstones, etc. you need to remember that those markers are the mortal remains of our troops. Those markers represent the beliefs of those troops, their faith or their lack of faith.
I don't think this memorial is about the cross, I think it's...
I don't think this memorial is about the cross, I think it's about the great many troops who paid the ultimate price in service to our nation; a reminder, I believe, of the fact that many men are no longer with us but, instead lay in graves before their time had come.
I am in the Army currently, I have been a soldier, off and on, for 25 years and a couple months. Yes, I am Christian, but I really think that the veteran that designed this memorial marker was trying to remind us of the cost some of the troops paid during this war. Look at the photo again, doesn't it seem very close to those used at military cemeteries as far as design, color and it's dimensions?
I think this memorial should remain in place, cared for and maintained by the city - I see no reason to remove it. Should the local government want to remove this marker, how long will it be before protesters begin asking that religious markers be removed from cemeteries on federal or state land, etc?
this is for the vets we need to remember those men and woman
Our men and women when they sign up for the Military are there from sun up till sun down, for how long they sign for. They are a government tool till the day they get out. Then the government wants to cut off all their help.I love all our vets and thank you for all you have done.
Many people gave their life for this Country und this is just one way to Honor them for what they have done for us. Iam a Christian and it just irritates me that when a few Heathen start crying the whole world should listen to them, well i start crying to because i stand up for what is right and the Truth. That CROSS should be left thereand families and friends of those who died can go there and have a moment or 2 with their loved ones in memory thats why that CROSS should stay there period.
Amen Brother! We need to stand up and out shout those people who ate trying so hard to destroy our Christian cross and ten commands and all else religious. Lets give them ten times the voice for our liberties for religion
WHY HAVE WE HAD NO PROBLEMS TILL WE OPENED THE RIGHTS FOR PEOPLE TO CHANGE OUR LAWS WITH OUT THE MAJORITY PEOPLES VOTE..DON'T LET BENGAZI GO UN DONE, WE OWE THIS TO THE TROOPS SERVING KEEPING US SAFE.. PLEASE PEOPLE
Thanks, Gary for sending this for me to sign. They rather forget the Vietnam War did not happen but it did; just because it was not supported by the American people, we need to remember those members of the Armed Forces we lost over there and the ones that never came home. None of like WAR but it happens and is happening now, our Troops need our support and thanks for serving our country. Thank you all Veterans for serving your Country and defending our Constitution.
