Save the Coos Bay, Oregon Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
After 41 years, a group of protestors want the Memorial removed from a Coos Bay City park.
When this memorial was dedicated, Vietnam Veterans Memorials were very few. The war was still going on. Protestors from around America were trashing Vietnam Veterans as baby-killers and village-burners. It is part of history. With a cross on it or not, it...
When this memorial was dedicated, Vietnam Veterans Memorials were very few. The war was still going on. Protestors from around America were trashing Vietnam Veterans as baby-killers and village-burners. It is part of history. With a cross on it or not, it represents ALL Vietnam Veterans from across America.
This Vietnam Memorial in Oregon is one of the first in America. The Wall in Washington DC was not built, until the early 1980s.
Save the Coos Bay, Oregon Vietnam Veteran Memorial.

Exactly right - freedom isn't free and we're the ones picking up the tab for groups having the ability to run around using that first amendment; they need to remember that we have that right, too. I think that we should be allowed to put up any monument we care to.
We are nearing 20,000 petition signers. Please sign and share.
Just Before Memorial Day 2013
Vandals deface cross at veteran memorial
What exactly was done and are there any photos of the damage? I would like to see them if there are please.
Cause anyone who Dont believe in the constitution is not american anyone who mess with our admendmet and anyone who mess with the bill of right device the people need to be kicked out of office and named from the USA
Banded from the USA and brand as a trator
Well, I have no idea who would want to take down the Cross. I think it's only symbolic to use the Cross. God said that we should not use images in worship, no shape or form, but, if it is used in remembering our fallen brothers I don't see any problem. I came from Vietnam and was met by the same bull+*it that most of us were given.
I pulled my tour in 67-68, I was even given the blessings of the TET offensive. I've since then learned that War is wrong, god never meant for man to kill each...
I pulled my tour in 67-68, I was even given the blessings of the TET offensive. I've since then learned that War is wrong, god never meant for man to kill each other, we were created in God image so, each time one of God's creation fell by another's hand we were killing God's image. It's like where do we get the authority to kill one of God's creations?
I'm not trying to take away any honor from anyone that served our Country, fallen or the ones that came home to unthankful as*h**es that passed judgement on the ones that came home alive, some of us came home shot and with mangled bodies, some Blind, some without arms or legs, This burns me up.
we have the same crap going here in montana if you investgate you will probably find a group out of wisconsin trying to remove everything that looks religious. it is called (ffr) freedom from religion . richard in hamilton mt
