We need to reach out to this wonderful people that have much they can teach us. How could you ever forget their faces and all those smiles on the children's faces. I agree that awareness is key here and there is nothing stronger then the human spirit. In order to help these people we need to support them any way that we can. I hope that we can get updates on their progress. They are so worth it.

Congo is have severe difficulties with conservation. Eastern lowland gorillas are disappearing faster than mountain gorillas. Forest elephants are being poached at an alarming rate. Arboreal primates are being hunted at unsustainable levels for bushmeat. In order for there to be conservation, there must be political stability and economic equality. Congo has not known political stability, since the days before King Leopold II.
