I was a Vietnam Era Veteran - even though I didn't serve in country - I was told not to wear my uniform home. I used the VA hospital when I first came home - then 15 yrs later when my PTSD came to haunt me they didn't have services to help me. I was on anti-depressants at the time and instead of using what was working for me they wanted to put me on meds that I knew won't work and would make me gain weight and possible diabetes - when I rejected their pharmacology - thankfully I got a job...

Now I am on mini-dose and with the work I did with individual therapy - I am back in charge of my life - NO Thank You to the bad care I got at the VA this was in2004 - so what are doing for the war-wounded coming home now??????????

I am an army brat as are many of my friends. I have also been touched by the fearless and generous soldiers with children with autism.

Both my husband and I served in the military. Jerry was Army and I was Navy. Interesting household on Army/Navy football games and we kid each other about the other service, but it is all in fun...LOL. Seriously, we are passionate about service members getting proper treatment at all times, especially when they are recovering and rehabilitating. Service members sacrifice a lot to make this nation a free and safe country for all. Thanks to our vets (our brothers & sisters) that have...

Service members sacrifice a lot to make this nation a free and safe country for all. Thanks to our vets (our brothers & sisters) that have given us our freedoms and continue to defend our freedoms! We know fellow brothers & sisters that have perished in war time (Desert Storm & 09/11 era). Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends and fellow brothers & sisters! We have come a long way since we were first in there, but there are still a lot of needs for improvement!
