When my father retire they paid him a lump sum in Unemloyment Insurance. When I tryed to get the lump sum from Unemployment Insurance, they told me that they don't give out lump sums anymore.I paid into Unemployment Insurance since 1964 and never collected a red cent. What did they do with all the money?
What did they do with the money!!!!
WHAT DID THEY DO WITH THE MONEY CLAWED BACK FROM VETERAN'S?
Do you drive on Dirt Roads my freind!
because they fought and continue to fight for our freedom.
They paid their dues by willing to put their lives on the line for us. They have earned it.
they deserve everything they can get, they either lost their lives or put their lives in great danger.they are why.
we have the freedom we have today in canada.we owe each and everyone of them our gratitude and blessings.
these people have put their lives on the line to give us the freedoms we have today. and how do we repay them? by paying the active seervice people so little they are just above poverty level. our pensioned vets are treated like second rate citizens...barely enough to live. shame on canada!
Politicians don't claw back their pensions so why should a Veteran, who has done so much more service for their country.
Do the politicians pay taxes on their gold plated pension?
Once again the supreminist have control of our hard earned moneys.
I am a veteran, who served my country in pursuit of peace for 27 years and I am tired of feeling betrayed by my own country. We sacrfice much more than people realize while deployed on missions around the world. We have put heart & sole into protecting CANADA for years.
Few people earn what hockey players earn. The fans are nuts to pay the ticket prices. This is not a fair comparison.
I spent 40 years in the regular forces and the reserves went where they sent me along with my family for this I receive a pension. But because I took the CPP at age 60 when I turned 65 they clawed back $429 from my pension the MP 's don't get theirs clawed back these people most who never served a day in the service could care less about out vet's and only look after them self's. make my pension tax free great idea.
To add and please correct me if I'm wrong. But the MP's get a FULL pension ($100,000.00 + ) with serving only a 3 year stent in the public service. Most of that time seem's to be on vacation.
