When my father retire they paid him a lump sum in Unemloyment Insurance. When I tryed to get the lump sum from Unemployment Insurance, they told me that they don't give out lump sums anymore.I paid into Unemployment Insurance since 1964 and never collected a red cent. What did they do with all the money?
What did they do with the money!!!!
WHAT DID THEY DO WITH THE MONEY CLAWED BACK FROM VETERAN'S?
Do you drive on Dirt Roads my freind!
I am amazed at the amount of money contributed into the UIC over 29 years, and after my medial release, returning to the civilian work force, I continue to pay into the UIC system, and when my civilian job was cut, I thought I'd be able to collect UIC till I find a new job I have to claim my small pension as an income and not eligible to collect UIC. Thank you for your support.
My brother is in the forces and him and his beautiful family mean the world to me.
Because my Father, Uncles and many relatives were veterans of World War 2. 2 husbands involved and overseas for years and yet pensions were taxed. Get real and treat our veterans with respect.
at the street level I seen many vets homeless for they cannot make it on the retirement income.....outrages to see this......
I gave the military my all over the course of 38 years; my best; my other futures..what a change in monetary lifestyle to be a pensioner...even with the psychological baggage.
Our government gives more money out to help other countries. They also give more money monthly to new citizens coming into our country to help them get established. This is the very same country these Canadian Military men and women have served to make Canada such a viable country for those people to want to live. It leaves us with complete regret that our government does not recognize this and if they do, will not take action to rectify such a wrong. Very sad indeed!
These people have worked hard for our Country. Some have even died for our Country and I think they deserve it. Just think if you had to go through all that and come home after putting your Heart and Sooe into it. Would you not want the help if needed. They have helped us and our Counrty. So lets Help our Heros no matter what. I say Thank You to you all and God Bless.
We served our country. While doing so...we often sacrificed our family, our health and sometimes parts of our sanity. We got taxed within an inch of our lives, paid into a pension, CPP, SISIP, UIC and donated money to almost every other cause that came down the pipe..I served for 21 years until I could not serve anymore. I believe Canada would be willing to cut us a bit of a break.
We worked hard for this country for an entire career. I think we deserve some recognition and a show of gratitude for what we gave to our country. I gave the best years of my life, 27 of them to make sure Canada stayed free and safe for all peoples. We paid our taxes all our careers. I think we paid enough.
