Want to go to Africa???

Hello Grassroot Soccer supporters!

Interested in kick-starting a career in public health? Ever imagined spending a year living and working in an African country? Want to play a part in the fight against one of the greatest tragedies of our lifetime? Having a hard time finding a job in this market?

Grassroot Soccer is seeking applicants for its 2009/2010 Intern Program. Interns play a crucial role in several key departments within GRS, and are an important part of an organization at the cutting edge of HIV/AIDS prevention in Africa.

We are seeking qualified candidates with backgrounds or coursework in public health, business administration, education, and related fields. Prior non-profit or public health experience helpful, but not required. College degree required. No prior experience playing or coaching soccer is required. The Internship is a volunteer position. GRS provides housing/accommodation but Interns pay their own expenses. Positions begin August 1, 2009.

Please email lucasr@grassrootsoccer.org to ask for an application, and go to http://grassrootsoccer.org/interns to learn more about the GRS Intern program.

(And if you can't commit to going to Africa, check out http://kickaids.org for other ways to get involved!!!!)

peace
Brooke
