Kira Trevino was reported missing by her husband, Jeffery Trevino, on February 24. He said he last saw Kira on Friday, February 22 when she left their St. Paul home to run errands and go to work at a store in the Mall of America. Less than a week later, Jeffery Trevino was arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder after police found "copious amounts of blood" and evidence of extensive clean-up in their home. He had been illegally accessing her bank accounts, and Kira had told her mother a week before she went missing that she was planning to leave Jeffery. He isolated her from her family of origin, and kept himself distanced from her family as well. He did not report Kira missing until Sunday, February 24. Kira never missed work and stayed in constant contact with family and friends. She is greatly loved and missed, and her family needs desperately to recover her body so that they can give her a proper burial and get closure. Jeffery's bail was increased to one million dollars and he refuses to cooperate with police.
