To resolve the ongoing communal conflict in South Asia.
The White Ribbon has long since been used as a symbol of communal harmony in South Asia. This Campaign is now being rendered strongly as a movement which tries to reshape and open out identity paradigms in order to bring about a resolution of the communal conflict in South Asia, which is a residue of the Partition of the subcontinent leading to the creation of a separate Islamic State in 1947.
Besides the maintenance of strong inter-faith relations, this group will also focus on strengthening and fostering democracy and democratic principles such as pluralism, diversity and freedom of expression.
1. That all people in South Asia share a common cultural heritage.
2. That cultural initiatives can go a long way in fostering diversity.
3. That fostering diversity is crucial for coexistence in a fast globalising world.
