WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL CAUSE of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Help us achieve prevention and a cure by joining our cause today.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is an independent 501© (3) non-profit organization. Currently, 91 cents of every dollar spent by BCRF is directed to breast cancer research and awareness programs. The mission of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health.
Since its inception in 1993 The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) has raised over $440 million to support the most advanced and promising breast cancer research that will help to accomplish our goal. In 2012/2013, our grants are supporting 197 dedicated researchers at major medical institutions across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.
If not for BCRF, many facts about genetic basis of breast cancer wouldn't be known, breast cancer stem cells would still be a mystery, and personalized, targeted therapies would not currently be available. BCRF-funded scientists are responsible for these and many other critical achievements.
In recognition of our exceptional efficiency, Charity Navigator has recently renewed our 4-star rating, our tenth such designation since 2002, and BCRF is additionally honored to be the only cancer organization to receive an “A+” rating from CharityWatch. The only thing standing between today and a cure is funding. Your support is more crucial than ever! Thank you.
