Thank you for reading and signing my petition. Good news arrived last week. The Advertising Standards Agency have written to me to tell us that they have investigated my complaint. They also have additional complaints about the type of advertising Calvari use and are taking it up them. They will ask for the advertising to be changed. I think this is also the responsibility of the TV stations, but what a great result already! Let's hope that the advertisers realise that there are more subtle sales methods out there (more creativity needed!) and that we don't need a diet of cheap thrills sprinkled on top of our healthy family viewing.
