Few metres from the cliffs known as tal-Maqtuh at St. Paul’s Bay, MALTA  stands the oldest surviving building, known as Tabibu. This Defense system farmhouse originated way back in late 14th early 15th century was modified during the years.  It is found in a very strategic position and commands the whole view of the bay. For sure during the Turkish raids on Malta it played a very important part as a watch tower.

During the second world war it was target several times and hit a stick of bombs fell just few metres away. Unfortunately  the wars, and time did not cause any problem to this historical place, but due to lack of necessary protection by the owners and States it is falling in shabies. This building  is scheduled as a historical place by MEPA (Malta Environmental & Planning Authority) of Malta.
