At Mycomax>> we believe in making a positive difference in our communities and environment through our actions and we need your help in raising funds for the Save Our Rhino Project.
In South Africa we have seen an escalating assault on our Rhino populations in the last three years and we are now facing the highest level of poaching of rhino for their horn ever seen in history.
We are losing one rhino every one and a half days!
The latest rhino poaching statistics (21 September 2012) indicate that a total of 430 rhinos have been killed since the beginning of this year. The total number of arrests remains at 205.
We would like to make sure that our children and future generations have the opportunity to see and experience these magnificent mammals in the wild. All donations received will be presented to The Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Rhino Project (EWT).
The EWT is a non-profit conservation organisation operating on-the-ground projects throughout Africa, with a particularly strong presence in Southern Africa. They take a partnership approach and have constructive relationships with industry, government and communities, all for the conservation of our biodiversity.
The EWT’s structure allows for expertise to be developed in a particular area of conservation. However they have an overall conservation strategy and their specialists meet regularly to ensure that this strategy is being followed. In this way they are able to provide holistic solutions to a large number of environmental problems, while still fulfilling the key niche of species protection.
