Back to STOP WOLF TRAPPING IN MONTANA

Update on February 07, 2013

Thank you so much for your help with this Pledge Drive.  You have probably received the following  letter from the Governor's office, but I am posting what I received in response to my letter to the Governor.  Even though it is probably computer generated, I think overall it is a good response.  However, it does not directly address our concerns in our letters.  AND, if it is computer generated, we must have made a difference for them to create this letter:

Thank you for writing to the Governor's Office to share your concerns about wolf hunting in and around Yellowstone National Park.

We will certainly take your thoughts into consideration as Governor Bullock, cabinet directors, agencies and I discuss this important issue. We are working closely with wildlife biologists and other experts to address the concerns you have mentioned. It is important that we listen to the scientists who best understand the issues involved in wolf management, rather than relying on the federal government or any particular special interest group.

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to the Governor's Office with your thoughts. Please don't hesitate to do so again with any further questions.

Sincerely,

Tim Baker
Natural Resources Policy Advisor
Office of the Governor
State of Montana
