MS Awareness Week

Hi,

Thank you for creating a Cause on Facebook supporting the National MS Society. We wanted to reach out to you to provide you with information about the Society’s 2011 awareness campaign (launching March 14 – the start of MS Awareness Week). The campaign centers around what MS equals to you. This awareness campaign is designed to demonstrate that the power and importance of the MS movement is a force by and for people living with MS, and to achieve a greater overall public awareness and understanding of what it means to live with the disease.

We’re busy seeking placement of public service announcements (available here http://www.nationalmssociety.org/press-room/psas/index.aspx (http://www.nationalmssociety.org/press-room/psas/index.aspx)) as well as building a Facebook and Web application to allow people to share (in 60 characters or less – with an additional space below to elaborate) what MS equals to them, among other efforts.  I’m writing because I wanted to give you a “head’s up” that we’ll be reaching out to all “Causes” supporters, including yours,  that support the National MS Society.  We will be asking these supporters to enter what MS= to them on our facebook page at facebook.com/nationalmssociety. (This application will launch next week.) Visit http://www.nationalmssociety.org/msequals (http://www.nationalmssociety.org/msequals) for more information.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the campaign or this email – and I look forward to reading what MS equals to you should you choose to join us!

Best,

Maura Dunn
