About

Raise funds needed to purchase a printer that is a sustainable source of printed-paper for students. Proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards purchasing a printer, shipping and delivery costs.

The Budget is set at Six thousand Dollars, ($6000). The Project: The FBC Collective is made of individual members of "Leh We Talk" Group, a Facebook Group. The FBC Collective is in no way under the responsibility of the Leh We Talk Administration. The Collective was formed because a need was identified at Fourah Bay College for the provision of papers needed by students.

FBC is one of the oldest Colleges in Sierra Leone. The Church Missionary Society founded it in 1827, for training Africans as schoolmasters, catechists and clergymen. Today, the college has over 2,000 students in four faculties and five institutes.

LWT for Fourah Bay College is an intiative that was developed to assist in raising funds to purchase a printer (work centre) that would be a sustainable source of printed-paper for all students. All proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards purchasing a printer, shipping and delivery costs.

Several local papers and international media covered the story at the time, including British Broadcasting Service. {http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-14495242}

The FBC Collective has been at work seeking ways to prevent a repeat of this in our day and age. After several meetings and consultations with college officials, we agreed on buying a printing machine for donation to FBC.

We are committed to help strengthening FBC's capability to provide its students with their essential needs for success; with your help, this can be possible.
