Return hinduism back to its roots

This is NOT an attempt to promote Hinduism, it is merely to raise the following issue.

Hindism has been twisted over the course of history from a philosophy into a dogmatic religion.

All though many people still understand the original virtues of the teachings, there are
many who have misconvieved the teachings.

For example, it is a common misconception that Hinduism is a polytheistic religion. This is not true, the 'gods' in Hindu mythology are merely metaphors to explain the nature of the universe, rather than actual supernatural entities. Such as Brahma who represents the creation of the universe.

It is important for people to re-read the Bhagavad Gita and understand its teachings properly, with an open-mind and sense of reasoning.

The teachings of the Yogis are not based on blind belief but instead are suggestions on how one should live his life to gain the most happiness that have been developed over years and years of experimentation and observation.

Let us not lose the true essence and validity of the teachings!

1. Hinduism is not a supernatural dogmatic religion

2. Hinduism is a human philosophy on how to lead a happy life

3. There is nothing more to it
