Back to Civic Engagement: Make Our Voices Heard

Update on August 24, 2012

Just this morning, yet another tragic shooting (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/25/nyregion/several-people-shot-one-fatally-outside-empire-state-building.html?hp) propelled the issue of U.S. gun legislation to the forefront of the national dialogue; a gunman, who police identified as 58-year-old Jeffrey Johnson, opened fire on his former manager outside the Empire State building. The disgruntled employee used his .45 magnum to kill his victim, seriously injure four bystanders, and send at least five people to the hospital with minor wounds, before authorities shot and killed him.

The majority of the 12,000 people who weighed in on the poll about gun control oppose any new government infringements on our second amendment rights; does this recent shooting change where you stand on the issue of gun control legislation? What do your friends think?
