Back to BAN Phone App Game *Dog Wars*

Stop Phone Apps Like *Dog Wars* That Promote Vile Crimes As Entertainment...

Google Android should change their monitoring system to ensure VILE apps are flagged & blocked from the Android market immediately-Android is open source-This is a recipe for a lot of VILE apps used by the Google android operating system because they're not screened in Beta form. Anyone can download them, including children...

Yesterday afternoon, Google pulled *Dog Wars* from the Android market which is great:) But Dog Wars is one game; there will be many more. Things are intensifying for social game platform providers, forcing consolidation across the industry. Google might want to rethink how they’ll screen their revenue generating open eco system…

What you can do to help:

(1) Write to Android directly: Ask them to change their policy to include banning games like Dog Wars.

(2) Email: [email protected]

(3) Ask yourself…Should it be a criminal offense to produce video games which perpetuate crimes considered to be heinous, as entertainment (real or virtual)? Dog Fighting is one of several that fall into the *Heinous Crime* category.

(4) Should downloads of Violent apps be tracked; hence keeping an eye on those attracted to vile games; in particular at risk youth & young children who can easily access them on the Android phone operating system? There should be fines for users caught downloading apps that promote vile HEINOUS crimes as fun….

(5) Develop useful criminal profiling/on-line behavior tracking software; games & apps is another idea? Develop something useful for crime prevention, targeting at risk youth attracted to vile violent games/apps for example? You could probably go one step further & develop games to bait people, but that’s probably be going too far…

(6) This is an incredibly important, but also a touchy one-Consider writing to law & policy makers-Certainly some FOI Act. Right to free speech & technology based privacy/profiling issues exist here...
