Back to Create Physiotherapy Council of India

JKPA Met CMO Jammu regarding appointment under NRHM

Ref. No. JKPA/72 Date: 3-1-2014

Today a deputation of JKPA met CMO of Distt. Jammu. JKPA accused authorities of appointing a physiotherapist in Jammu District under NRHM Scheme. He said that they had submitted objection regarding the select list to District development commissioner Jammu and the concerned CMO district Jammu. But instead of taking a fare decision they have appointed the same candidate and presently the candidate is undergoing training. This act of authorities have created a sense of injustice among the physiotherapists .Moreover the candidate who is selected has obtained the degree through distance mode and according to the cabinet decision 2012 regarding distance education. The degrees in Medical education obtained through distance mode will not be entertained and also the decision of Delhi high court is against the distance education in Medical streams. He further stressed that we have provided all the documents to the concerned authorities. In spite of our efforts they have appointed the same candidate. JKPA has taken a strong note of this unfair means and injustice and have decided to fight against the injustice.

The CMO has assured JKPA that the decision will be fair and he also said in case of any unfair decision you can go to Court for justice.
