Bucket 1: To fund a new roof. Bucket 2: To fund religious school programs, initiatives, and scholarships for our families in need. Bucket 3: Invest in interior repairs and improvements.
The Temple Beth Tikvah (TBT) “Bucket Projects” Campaign to raise $250,000 is central to our commitment to restore the integrity of our facility, complete interior repairs and enhancements and ensure the continued strength of our Religious School.
LOOK AROUND AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT WE MEAN
Temple Beth Tikvah is vibrant! Wonderful things happen here every day – from worship services and educational activities to community service and social gatherings. But our facility is showing its age! In fact, last summer we bailed 60 gallons of water out of the sanctuary and we continue to battle leaks and mold in classrooms and offices. And, the unsightly condition of the carpet in the main section of the building speaks for itself. Suffice it to say, there is work to be done.
THE ECONOMY HAS HIT HARD
Even as the TBT family continues to thrive, the challenging economy continues to impact many congregants. To maintain our commitment to support our members in good times and in bad, we’ve awarded numerous Religious School scholarships in the last few years and supported our member families in numerous ways.
WHY THE BUCKET PROJECTS CAMPAIGN IS SO IMPORTANT
Nadiv Lev contributions (formerly referred to as "dues") cover only 58% of our operating budget. The pressing facility needs are an additional strain to the budget. The Bucket Projects Campaign helps fill the considerable gap between the cost to run TBT and the operating budget so we can continue to meet the needs of our congregants in a safe, comfortable and sacred space.
Our goal to raise $250,000 over two years is ambitious yet realistic. If the early responses to the Bucket Projects are any indication, we can reach our goal, but success is by no means assured. We need all congregants to engage in this effort in a meaningful way. So, please pick a bucket – 1) Roof, 2) Interior Repairs and Enhancements and/or 3) Religious School– and join this community effort to fill each bucket to the top today!
