After reporting a Facebook page filled with illicit images of children, one of our members from Kenya wrote to tell us, "This is the reply I got, again, from Facebook when I reported those offensive pages of nude girls yesterday. 'Thanks for your recent report of a potential violation on Facebook. After reviewing your report, we were not able to confirm that the specific page you reported violates Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms).'"
As we have discovered, the Social Network does not follow it's own "Community Standards (https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards)". It is now obvious that Facebook not only fails to block illicit images of children, but has become a conventional adult-themed website, not the family friendly meeting place they claim to be.
Pages like this one (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.221008924705901.1073741825.212067265600067&type=3) and this one (http://www.facebook.com/emily18bestfans/photos_stream) clearly illustrate the offenses. While these are not illegal images, they do attract pedophiles who use these pages to meet each other so they can share their abuse.
Please report these pages to Facebook. Then, tell Facebook (http://stopchildpornonfacebook.com/) they must BLOCK these images and videos of children from entering their website. Make them listen to you (http://stopchildpornonfacebook.com/).
Through the "Demand Card" system, Men Against Prostitution And Trafficking (http://menapat.org/)(MENAPAT (http://menapat.org/)), the group behind this Cause, has a convenient way for you to send a message directly to Facebook (http://stopchildpornonfacebook.com/) right now.
Please take this powerful action (http://stopchildpornonfacebook.com/).
We are beginning to get their attention and we must send at least
100,000 "Demand Cards" to Facebook's Menlo Park, California offices.
