To promote greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation of contemporary art and its capacity to stimulate our imaginations and illuminate our lives, relationships, and communities.

The San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) engages artists, collectors and other audiences through innovative visual art exhibitions and educational programs that reflect and interpret the cultural and technical diversity of the Bay Area region. Its exhibitions and programs are designed to build community—to offer a space where people of all backgrounds and ages may explore challenging contemporary art and ideas in an engaging and lively atmosphere.
