Back to Vote 4 Autism & Special Needs in 2010 (Australia)

Thanks For Making This Campaign A Success

We are extremely happy with the outcomes of this campaign, having received a policy platform response from the Greens Party and a direct response from Labor. We acknowledge that this doesn't equate into actual services or additional funding, but our initial primary objective was to get the attention of the political parties and independents, which we have done.

The campaign success could not have been achieved if it weren't for the wonderful support of all the members of this cause. Thank you so much.

We consider that this is not the end, but the beginning! We will continue to lobby the Federal Government, regardless of the election outcome, for the recommendations outlined in the campaign letter along with other important issues that weren't. It is important to note that we support not just the needs of people with autism, but anyone who has a disability or special need. Without a holistic approach to disabilities, you can never achieve real social inclusion and so to just lobby for children & individuals diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder would not result in the desired outcomes.

We will keep this cause going to demonstrate to the Government our unity when it comes to fighting for the rights of our children, families and friends. Please continue to follow our progress and to invite others to join. The greater the numbers, the greater the success of any campaign.

Once again, thank you so very much for your support and we look forward to keeping you updated about any future developments.
