Back to Values in Education

2015 Highlights!

This year started out with Mr. Raju Kumar joining the VIE team as project manager. He is a dedicated social entrepreneur who has been running human development and empowerment programmes in Hyderabad, India for more than a decade.

Working at the grassroots level, VIE impact has seen another year of success, with a whole new region of beneficiaries. The total number of children who have been touched by the VIE library resources and positive character values has crossed 20,000 with 2,698 new children in 2015 alone!

Mr. Kumar also conducted a number of teachers workshops and value education seminars which were attended by 130 teachers and held in seven different schools. During the summer break, he organized several camps with positive values as the theme, and which received praise from many of the parents, like Mr. Khazim who expressed to us these words:

“Both of my children learned a lot during the Summer Camp classes such as arts & crafts, dancing and how to behave with parents, others and with students at school. The moral values were taught very well, thank you so much!”

We are truly grateful as we look back at our accomplishments, with 88 VIE libraries sponsored and delivered to date, and with more than 50 educational institutions using the values and character based materials and curriculum in their weekly classes.

Thank you our VIE greater family for your encouragement and support which has enabled us to reach our vision that all children, no matter their social standing or upbringing, have access to and receive value based, positive character education, giving them a platform to succeed. Truly together our efforts have already created a positive chain reaction impacting the local communities.

With appreciation, Happy New Year 2016!
