To support cardiomyopathy research at the University of Rochester Medical Center

The Delta Alpha Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi, a co-ed national honor fraternity, at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is dedicated to working with the University of Rochester's Medical Center to provide funds that will be used for cardiomyopathy research. This fund is in honor of Karen Decker, a friend of a member, who passed away from post-partum cardiomyopathy five-weeks after giving birth to her daughter.

Each year the fraternity holds Karen's Walk/5K run on the RIT campus to raise awareness of cardiomyopathy within Rochester and surrounding communities as well as funds for cardiomyopathy research.

Your participation in Karen's Walk or donations to the Karen Decker Cardiomyopathy Fund are greatly appreciation. Additional information on Karen's Walk can be found at www.karenswalk.com

1. Research into causes and treatments for cardiomyopathy is important.
