Now, it seems that we were too slow to gain momentum ... now we have to work harder and go directly to the advertisers. I am continuing to write to Gov Brewer and my own Governor (who i respect very much) but also send the letter to advertisers who choose to use the billboards as well as the advertising agencies.
Need to let advertisers know that billboards are NOT green and NOT cool. NOT the message most corps want to convey. I can tell you that a few months ago, i got nearly IMMEDIATE reaction from a MAJOR advertising agency and was threatened with a lawsuit. This proves that it hits home where it hurts... in the pocketbook.... especially when Ccs go to all the execs of the advertisers that pay the agencies BIG bucks to build a green image for them. this is definitely the way to go.
