The three-fold mission of the American Institute for Roman Culture is to promote and preserve Rome through cultural heritage projects, educational programming and public outreach.
The American Institute for Roman Culture was founded by a handful of dedicated individuals bound together by an intense devotion to Ancient Rome and a strong commitment to promote archaeological inquiry and public understanding of the material record of Rome while serving to protect the city’s historic resources for their own and future generations.
Through partnerships with local government, donors, and philanthropists, our goal is to inspire an enduring commitment to stewardship for future generations and to safeguard Rome’s precious archaeological, architectural and cultural treasures.
1. Roman culture must be shared and preserved.
