"Lighting up the night with Love and Remembrance"
Our daughter Caitlin was born still on January 28, 2003 and in her brief and precious life she has transformed us and has lit up our lives in ways that we could never have imagined.
In the early years after her passing our lives were surrounded with pain and grief. Questions unanswered, guilt over not being able to protect our precious baby and the heartache of losing her was consuming. It felt as if we were drowning in our sorrow and grief and there was no end in sight.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Network (formerly PBSO-Perinatal Bereavement Services Ontario) and their support group in Brampton, Ontario became a lifeline for us. Our group facilitators, Lise Ferguson, Louise Lambert and Jacquie Anderson provided us with a lit path to follow. Their caring and compassion and most importantly the understanding that they shared with us gave us the hope that we needed to begin the process of healing of our hearts.
We couldn't have healed without them….
It is because of the caring, compassion and understanding from these bereaved parents that we found hope and this hope has brought us here today.
Caitlin's Lights of Love is a tribute to the work of this amazing organization and the volunteers which have given hope to the thousands of bereaved families learning to live their new lives after the loss of their babies.
We will be lighting the night with love and remembrance and hope that you will join us in tribute to those we have lost, young and old.
If you are unable to attend please consider purchasing a luminary which will be lit in memory of your loved one.
Please invite your friends and family to join our page and also to join us on September 7, 2013 as we light up the night with love and remembrance.
