Pulp the Mill, Code Green & Still Wild Still Threatened invite you to a Peaceful Community Protest on the pulp mill site at 12 pm. We will be organising buses from Hobart and Launceston, and encouraging all to car pool as parking is limited. Speakers to be determined.

BAD MILLS HAPPEN WHEN GOOD PEOPLE DO NOTHING
If you have already completed our basic Peaceful Community Protest (PCP) training, You may also like to learn about how to lock-on to machinery. With our colleagues from Code Green and Still Wild Still Threatened, we are running more PCP workshops, followed by sessions to learn about roles and lock-on techniques.

BASIC PCP WORKSHOP TIME: 11 am - 1.30 pm.
All people wanting to join in Peaceful Community Protests are required to attend a workshop so you can understand the legal implications of participating in a protest which involves civil disobedience. You will also learn about the different roles that are required for this kind of protest, and participate in a role play.
ROLES/SKILL SHARE WORKSHOP TIME: 2 - 3.30 pm.
For those who have completed a basic PCP workshop, the afternoon session will explore techniques for roles within the protests (police liaison, media liaison, contractor liaison, peacekeepers) and lock-on techniques.

DIRECTIONS: East Tamar Highway: Drive towards Georgetown to the Batman Bridge turnoff, cross the bridge and take the first road on the right: Rowella Rd. Stay on Rowella Rd driving towards Holm Oak Vineyard and Rowella Hall is right next to the road.
West Tamar Highway: Go north from Exeter, turn onto Batman Bridge Road and pass the Sidmouth shop. Take the first main road on the left after the shop: Rowella Rd, and follow directions as above.

SATURDAY AUGUST 6, RALLY FOR TASMANIA'S FORESTS AND FUTURE, PARLIAMENT HOUSE LAWNS, HOBART
AN URGENT CALL FOR THE PROTECTION OF TASMANIA'S HIGH CONSERVATION VALUE FORESTS
The Greens and a coalition of Tasmania's forest campaign groups have agreed to hold a rally for the urgent protection of Tasmania's 572,000ha of recognized high-conservation value forests.
The rally will be from 10.30 to 11.15 am.
This will be a celebration of the forests as well as a call for action. Please bring banners, hand-outs etc, See you there!
