Elephant parts dealers arrested, Centre, Cameroon


Wildlife officials in Cameroon arrested two suspects who were found attempting to sell several elephant parts in Makenene some 200 kilometres from capital city Yaounde. The two were found in illegal possession of a tibia bone, a tail, lots of elephant teeth and a crocodile skin. The operation was carried out in collaboration of the forces of law and order and with the technical assistance of LAGA. They are presently behind bars in Bafia, the divisional headquarters of the region
