We exist to facilitate justice and healing for the sexually and physically abused children of Northeast Louisiana and our goal is to raise $10,000 in montly support by January 1st 2010
The Children's Advocacy Center of Northeast Louisiana interviews children who have been sexually or physically abused in a child friendly environment and records the interview so that they only have to tell their story one time. We have two forensic interviewers and also provide free counseling to the children and families that come to the center. The CAC has seen a huge increase (approx. 20%) in cases this year and is looking for the funding to keep our doors open in order to serve this worth while population for years to come.
1. Goal: Raise $10,000 in monthly support by Jan 1st. 2010
2. The CAC has served over 800 children since it's inception in 2006
3. 99% of the children we see come to the CAC because of suspected sexual abuse.
5. The CAC is a division of The Center for Children and Families, Inc. (the legal name is CASA of the 4th Judicial District)
