At the forefront of our agenda is to promote solid awareness in the minds of the American public about the need to undergo an annual oral cancer screening, as a matter of routine practice.
This cause was created to spread awareness of Oral Cancer and its risk factors, gain supporters that wish to help this needed cause, and finally to raise funds for the largest support and information non-profit for those impacted by this deadly disease, The Oral Cancer Foundation. The forefront of our mission it to shed light to the general public the importance of annual oral cancer screenings. When found early, oral cancers have an 80 to 90% survival rate. Unfortunately, the majorities are found as later stage cancers, and this accounts for the very high death rate of about 45% at five years from diagnosis. Late stage diagnosis is not occurring because these cancers are hard to discover, it is because of a lack of public awareness and the lack of a national program for opportunistic screenings. These statistics are alarming, which is why we must act fast, and act now.
