To hug a young black male everyday.

Black male on black male crime continues at alarming rates despite achievements of black males at the highest levels of our country. Black male high school drop out rates are at an alarming all-time high and is the highest category for drop-outs.

I was inspired and confirmed through a sermon by my Pastor, Rev. Marion Robinson of Raleigh, NC. The acronym used in his sermon HOBB, Hug Our Black Boys needs to be movement to encourage the confirmation and affirmation of love for our black boys.

I ask that you plegde to hug our black boys daily registering your hugs to reach our goal of 7 million hugs daily. Send your testimonials and pictures of how this simple gesture can change the future and outlook of our black boys.

Jesus the Christ said in Matthew 19:13-15, The Message version, One day children were brought to Jesus in the hope that he would lay hands on them and pray over them. The disciples shooed them off. But Jesus intervened: "Let the children alone, don't prevent them from coming to me. God's kingdom is made up of people like these." After laying hands on them, he left.

He has now left us to continue this movement. Specifically we need to concentrate and be intentional about hugging our black boys.

Hug a black boy today.
