The Demand Dignity campaign aims to end the human rights violations that keep people poor.

Every day thousands of people die from lack of health care, shelter, food, water, and lack of a decent livelihood. 1.3 billion people live in absolute poverty, 70% of which are women. 840 million people are chronically malnourished. 100 million people have no access to education.

These human rights violations are no more inevitable, and no harder address, then civil and political rights such as the right to freedom from torture, unfair trials or censorship. Both involve holding governments and private actors to account to ensure that the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and other international human rights standards are upheld.
