Following the recent consultation Defra have made their official recommendation to Parliament regarding the future of Greyhound Racing in the UK.
Despite receiving over 1,700 responses (68% of total) in favour of the Racing Dog Protection Act (RDPA) the emphasis of Defra’s proposals have not changed at all. The proposed legislation does not address any of the main problems identified by the RDPA; racing injuries, the volume of discarded dogs and poor living conditions to name but a few.
Please take urgent action by signing the Number10 petition which calls for the Prime Minister to withdraw the proposed regulations. Click on the following link (sorry, UK citizens only):
