To outlaw betting on greyhound racing in the UK

What can possibly be wrong with greyhound racing? ...The dogs love to run, don't they?

This is the common misconception which many people have about commercial greyhound racing. The reality is that to make dog racing a lucrative business thousands of greyhounds have to be destroyed every year. There are also a number of very serious welfare issues.

The RDPA sets out the legislative changes required in order to ensure that the welfare needs of racing dogs are met – namely that betting on dog racing is outlawed.

Tell the UK government to follow the positive example of it's European neighbours in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland and take the necessary steps to make greyhound racing welfare friendly.
