Remove the stigma of mood disorders and prevent suicide

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is an incredible organization that helps raise awareness, educate and support those suffering from mood disorders like depression as well as those who have lost a loved one to suicide.

Each year, AFSP holds 3-5 mile Out of the Darkness suicide prevention community walks in hundreds of communities throughout the country, with proceeds going to their many programs, as well as working towards expanding their programs. Visit outofthedarkness.org for more information.

AFSP also offers an 18-mile Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk once a year, with information available at theovernight.org. For college students, AFSP offers special campus walks, with information at campuswalks.org
